Welcome to the New Human Movement

Given the unprecedented challenges facing humanity in the 21st century, we need institutions …

… that can reinvent themselves on the fly,

… that are infused with the spirit of entrepreneurship,

… and that give every employee the chance to learn, grow and innovate.

At present, few organizations measure up. When confronted with disruptive change, they often prove to be timid, inertial and incremental. This is the legacy of bureaucracy, with its top-heavy power structures and rule-choked processes.  We need, and deserve, better. But getting from here to there won’t be easy. Hence the New Human Movement.

In this series, Gary Hamel and I speak to the bold thinkers and radical doers who are reimagining work, leadership and organization for a new age. We’re launching this week with three amazing episodes:

Episode 1: Eric Ries on Entrepreneurs Everywhere

Episode 2: Zeynep Ton on Why Good Jobs Matter

Episode 3: Paul Polman on Building a Business with a Higher Calling

In the coming weeks, you’ll find more path-breaking ideas and practical tips—from CEOs, entrepreneurs, philosophers and management gurus—that will help you challenge the status quo, redefine what’s possible, and build an organization that’s fit for the future and fit for human beings.

I'll be sharing and writing about these episodes regularly on this blog, but if you'd rather go straight to the source, please subscribe to our Youtube playlist.  And please don't fortget to like and comment!
